Silicon Carbide Thermocouple Protection Tube has excellent properties, including antioxidant capacity, thermal stability and product's dimensional precision. As silicon nitride is covalent compounds with high bond energy and it can make formation of an oxide protective film in the air, therefore its excellent chemical stability can make silicon nitride not be oxidized below the temperature of 1200C, and create protective film to avoid any further oxidation between 1200 to 1600C. It can not be infiltrated and corroded by nickel, silver, lead, aluminum, tin, brass and other molten metals. It can be corroded by stainless steel, magnesium, nicochrome and other molten metal.
